Boneless, skinless chicken breasts – 4 pieces

Uncooked white rice – 1 cup

Cream of mushroom soup – 1 can (10.5 oz)

Cream of celery soup – 1 can (10.5 oz)

Water or chicken broth – 1 cup

Dry onion soup mix – 1 envelope

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread the uncooked rice evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  • Place the chicken breasts on top of the rice.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, and water (or broth) until well combined.
  • Pour the soup mixture over the chicken and rice, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix on top for a burst of flavor.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Remove from the oven, let it sit for a few minutes, then serve hot!

Notes

  • Want extra flavor? Substitute the water with chicken broth for a richer taste.
  • Make it heartier by adding sliced mushrooms, carrots, or peas before baking.
  • If using brown rice, add ½ cup extra liquid and bake for 15-20 minutes longer.
